Exec Education at IESE

This weekend, I was back at IESE to lead a practical session as part of the Executive Education Programme, or Programa de Desarrollo Directivo (PDD).

The objective?

To create a space where PDD students, managers from all over Spain, can reinforce their communication skills and:

Practice prepared speeches

  • Identify their communication strengths and areas for improvement

  • Offer, receive, and integrate feedback to make continuous progress...

..and so boost their confidence, impact, and ability to lead their teams towards a precise objective.

Because the key to effective leadership… is effective communication.

The next challenge?

Storytelling.

Connecting not only with the head, but the heart.

A powerful tool to connect, inspire... and provoke positive change.

I usually work in English.

It did me the world of good to put myself in the shoes of my non-native English-speaking clients and work out how to overcome the language barrier.

With good preparation and the willingness to connect, guess what? The barrier is lifted.

Yes!
