Coaching at TEDx Barcelona

What happens before you step onto the red dot?

The audience may hear a polished talk, but behind the scenes, there’s a journey.

Several months of shaping ideas, refining content, rehearsing… and finding the confidence to stand up there and speak.

As a speaker coach for the TEDxWomen Poblenou event in Barcelona last week, I had the privilege of walking alongside some amazing women as they prepared to share their voices with the world.

Among them, Laura Delgado Ortiz and Anna Valli.

It was a reminder that speaking up isn’t just about delivering a talk.

It’s about owning your ideas and stepping forward. And trusting your voice, even when it feels "red dot scary".

If you’ve ever held back from speaking because you feared you weren’t “ready enough,” remember:

Confidence is built in the act of showing up.
